Every boat must be tested at the start of ever season and comply with the attached sheet. There are certain regulations that your boat must meet and you must ensure that you are meeting these regulations.
- Boating Insurance and that your insurance is still in date
- Insurance expiry date
- Visible P number: 200mm x 25mm “minimum size”
- Yellow Safety Flag
- Drivers boat mirror is an adequate size for clear vision
- All seats are securely fitted
- Fire Extinguishers are fully charged
- Steering has no excess play
- Out boards over 150HP most have double mechanical steering
- Out boards/engines are securely fitted with minimum of 4 bolts and locking nuts.
- Battery’s secured with straps
- Petrol/LPG tanks secured with no movement
- Kill switch – operational and correct live line
- Secure towing eye
- Ensure you have booked your boats re-test
